Wrap up warm and beat the cold read more
With snow covering many parts of the UK last week and the cold weather set to continue, it’s not quite time to get ready for the arrival of spring. As the Met Office predict another band of sleet, snow and ice-cold winds for February, we’ve rounded up our top tips for beating this cold weather snap — and how to stay warm this winter. January might be over, but this cold snap isn’t. Grab your jumper, fill up the hot water bottle and keep reading for all of our tips.
Layer up with duvets and blankets
While they might not be the most practical items to take with you on-the-go, extra warm duvets and blankets are excellent ways to keep warm on a cold February night. Our cosy and soft range of blankets are must-haves for when the temperature outside is struggling to rise above freezing. Layer the blankets across your bed at night for extra warmth, or wrap yourself inside one (we recommend our deliciously soft pompom throw) for a quiet evening at home. There really isn’t anything better.
Wrap up warm
Fleece-lined coats and jackets are an absolute must-have this February. With the UK seeing its lowest temperatures for seven years, there is no better time to grab a wear-everywhere coat than now. We recommend our fur-trimmed parka in a deep morello hue for maximum warmth and minimum fuss. This one is so warm you won’t want to take it off.
Keep active
Keeping as active as possible when you’re cold will help to boost your circulation. Why not grab a warm padded coat, walking boots and head outside to get some fresh air. Even just a walk around your nearest National Trust park for an hour or so will help to keep you warm, as well as helping to boost your motivation levels. Why not peruse our leisurewear range to find the perfect pieces to wear when on a walk or run outside (try the panel jogger bottoms for ultimate warmth and comfort). There is something here for everyone.
Cosy up with home accessories
Bring comfort and warmth into your home during this frightfully cold snap with our ever-cosy range of cushions, throws, candles and rugs. A selection of scatter cushions and blankets layered on your sofa or bed will assist with creating a cosy indoor atmosphere. Light a candle or two to brighten the mood or add one of our new thick wool-blend rugs for an extra layer of serious cosiness underfoot. We couldn’t think of any better way to beat this weather snap.
