We love it when creative bloggers get in touch, so when Emmeline from Emmeline Illustration got in contact looking to illustrate a piece from our new collection, we jumped at the chance of having her on the blog! Showcasing what she wore every month in July, Emmeline delicately draws her outfit in the cutest illustration, from a pair of PJ’s to a stand out dress. Picking our poppy print top from our new Morello collection, we loved Emmeline’s ‘Day 27’…

Emmeline Pidgen - Illustrated What I Wore - Day 27 - Laura Ashley

Our tran-seasonal story Morello is perfect for gloomy dull days like today. Taking autumnal colours and applying them to pretty prints, the deep pink and berry tones make for an ideal summer to autumn wardrobe. Taking prints from our archive and re-colouring them for the new season, Morello looks modern but remains entirely true to the Laura Ashley heritage.

Clashing prints and colours take centre stage in this collection, because who said pink and red don’t go together?

Emmeline says…

“I love wearing deep, autumnal colours (even if it’s supposed to be Summer!) and these yummy maroons, reds and raspberries are really gorgeous.

I’ll admit I’m a bit of a swooner for floral prints, so it was great to hear that Laura Ashley were reviving some of their archive patterns, like this pretty Poppy print top.”

From occasion summer dresses to trend-talking printed trousers, Morello might just be our favourite collection of the new season so far. Love what you see? See our favourites from the collection below…
