The perfect colour combo of a pink coat and grey suede boots... read more
It’s always a bonus to own a coat for your everyday look, but also a coat that can double up as a smart evening/weekend coat. Our Dusky Pink Cocoon Coat is perfect for that and who better to showcase this than Bunty who blogs over at Bunty Living. Here’s how she wore our coat and more…
With January officially over, I’m beginning feeling the promise of spring in the air once more and after such dark and gloomy days, for me, it really couldn’t arrive any sooner!
I get so excited to see my wardrobe gradually lightening to mimic the seasonal change and I can’t wait to infuse it with an array of light, pastel colours that instantly evoke the joys of spring!
I always regard February and March as transitional seasons, especially when it comes to fashion. Many shops are already giving us a head start on the spring/summer trends but it’s too cold to bring out the bare shoulders and sandals just yet! Thankfully, Laura Ashley have transitional style covered to guarantee lifting your wardrobe out of the doom and gloom of winter and in turn, offering you feminine, pretty pieces that still provide the much-needed coverage and warmth we require.
Let’s be honest, here in England a solid coat is for life and not just for winter! But when my eyes spotted this beauty in Laura Ashley’s new season collection, I became ‘that’ person sitting in front of their computer and performing a ‘happy dance’. This piece is just absolutely beautiful and everything I look for in a feminine, wearable coat. The gentle blush pink is so pretty and chic and has the benefit of making any old outfit underneath look instantly more put together, which, let’s be honest, makes the prospect of early school runs come September seem far less complicated to me!
Key footwear is also so important when discerning transitional pieces for your wardrobe. I’ve been indulging my love for suede boots with this stunning pair from Laura Ashley. Shall I start with the colour? They’re the most perfect, workable shade of grey and they look gorgeous with dusky pink but equally beautiful with darker colours too. With just enough of a heel to really flatter the leg, these boots are ideal for easy everyday style – especially as they’re SO comfortable to wear! Seriously, as a mum of three boys, I can assure that these boots were made for walking… and running too!
Whilst I do love a suede boot, occasionally I find myself reluctant to wear such a delicate fabric especially if it’s wet outside. However, I quickly discovered that this pair have a really generous platform which elevates the suede above the ground, making them really quite practical and weather tolerant. I’ve been skipping about in them and I love how easy they are to quickly throw on with jeans and look ready for business!
I’d love to see how you style your spring outfits, so don’t forget to pop on over to my blog www.buntyliving.com and share your style with me!
