Her Instagram is also most definitely worth a follow!

Let’s hear more from Lauren about her wonderful blog…
How did your blog Hunters and Heels come about?
I blame Instagram. When I downloaded that wonderful little app three years ago, I had no idea it would become quite such a big part of my life.
It was through Instagram that I found some really fabulous blogs and began dreaming of my own little corner of the Internet. I loved the idea, but kept putting it off thinking it would be far too complicated and time-consuming. Instead, I used Instagram as I kind of instant, visual journal.
So 38 weeks pregnant, at the start of my maternity leave, I finally got around to making my little dream a reality. It’s possibly one of the best things I’ve ever done.
8 months later, I’ve made some wonderful friendships and connections and already love looking back at posts from the months gone by.
What do you enjoy most about blogging?
I’ve not even been blogging a year, but already I see why it’s becoming so incredibly popular. I would encourage anyone to start up a space of their own.
I have loved documenting my amazing journey into motherhood. Already looking back at posts like Sweet Anticipation, Ollie’s Welcome To The World Party and Ollie’s First Christmas I’m so thankful that the blog encourages me to take plenty of photographs and capture how I feel in these moments.
I adore connecting with other bloggers, and have built wonderful real life friendships too.
I’m such a consumer, always have been, so I love collaborating with brands and sharing some great finds too.
What inspires you write?
I’m inspired by ‘life’ I think.
Becoming a mother is such a gift, but it can be tiring and challenging too. I’ve found that blogging really is a fantastic way to connect and share with other Mums. We unite in our tiredness, our worry, and, of course, our overflowing hearts.
I also think about what I’d really enjoy reading about too. If I feel like I’ve found a wonderful new product or place, something I’ve been looking for for ages, I want to share it. I imagine sitting down with a glass of wine and reading about a ‘Babymoon in Italy‘ or a rundown of ‘Instagram Worthy Toys‘.
Please share with us your top three bookmarked blogs…
The queen of Blooms, Britain and now Babies. We connected through Instagram when we were pregnant, and eventually met in real life in Autumn 2015. Now we don’t go more than a few days without a chat. I adore her creativity, honesty and her writing style. She’s even lovelier in real life too!!
Another real life friend and super-mama extraordinaire! Sally is one of the people that really inspired me to start blogging. Such an incredible mother, business woman and friend. She inspires me in so many ways.
Another mum of boys. Where are all the girl-mama bloggers?! Hannah is so incredibly talented with a camera, her images are just PERFECT and never fail to inspire me. She has a really distinctive style that I love. Hannah makes being a mum look easy, stylish and oh-so-pretty!
What are your most coveted pieces from Laura Ashley?
I think with Spring and Summer just around the corner, I’m getting excited for that big spring clean. I love that feeling of a fresh house with delicious smells filling it – the cooks candles in English Apple and Mint are just heaven!
I love to bake with Archie at the weekends. Isn’t time spent in the kitchen so much more fun when you have pretty equipment to use? I can’t wait to treat myself to the Cream Weighing Scales. Simple and classic, and so much prettier than my ugly digital one.
As the evenings become lighter and warmer, we sit out and enjoy the garden for as long as we can. I love curling up under a cosy blanket and watching the sunset. Nothing is softer and cosier than the Parker Dove Grey Cotton Knit Blanket. That’s a summer must-have.
Thank you to Lauren for taking the time out of her busy working mum schedule to be our March blogger crush! Who would you like as our next blogger crush? Let us know below or on Twitter @LauraAshleyUK!
