Three of our favourite blogger fashionistas wear our new Archive collection three ways... read more
We’re now edging closer to that tricky in-between season stage, where the sun is just about poking its head out of the clouds but it’s still rather chilly! Embracing florals for the season ahead, our brand new Archive collection is the perfect tran-seasonal capsule collection. Featuring bright florals on a dark base, these pretty pieces say Spring / Summer without being OTT and will take you effortlessly into sunnier days.
This Archive collection has been updated from a signature print from the past. Originally intended to be a scarf, the design is in a corner shape with a border leading to a scattered central design. We’ve applied the design to contemporary silhouettes, and it is now available on tops, trousers, skirts and dresses! What more could you want?
Putting three blogger pals to the test, we wanted to see how they would wear the floral print. Leading us stylishly into Spring, we welcome Melissa, Katherine and Lizzie who wear the Archive collection three ways…

Melissa of Media Marmalade – The Archive Trousers
Archive Trousers | Double Breasted Wool Mix Coat
Well this weekend has well and truly teased me once again, yesterday in London the sun was shining bright and if you stood out of the shade you got that warming Spring feeling, so much so you could just about slip your coat off for a little while. The weather vibe right now is certainly starting to get me in the ‘Spring wardrobe’ zone. Laura Ashley clearly have the same idea right now and their Spring Summer collection is fast becoming my ‘go to’ transitional wardrobe, and it’s not just the wool coat, these floral trousers are another item which is starting to get me in the Spring mood!
This look is another of my ‘testing Spring’ ensembles. I’m not quite ready to lose the layers (the sun is out, but the chill in the air is still there), but i’m getting ready for Spring by expanding my uniform colour palette (which appears to have become monochrome this winter) to include a little more colour and a little more print! These straight leg floral trousers are the perfect way to begin transitioning your style, with an underlying spring vibe, but most definitely still wearable in winter!
Katherine of Katherine-Louise – The Archive Blouse
March is just around the corner and as far as I’m concerned, Spring has nearly sprung. In my wardrobe, at least. This week, I’ve dug out my lighter jackets (more fool me…), added a few splashes of colour to my recent looks and am daydreaming of warm days when a cardi is all you need. The Laura Ashley Archive collection encapsulates this for me – a transitional floral, something to take you from Winter to Spring in simple shapes and chic lines. Pieces like this really make dressing so easy – just a few items but such a put together look. Keeping the bottom half dark and demure but popping a spring in my step with a dash of pink, my Archive blouse does the talking for me.
Lizzie of Blue October
Cream and Black Stripe Cotton Top | Archive Skirt
This year I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone, trying new things in all areas of my life – food, gym classes, the books I read and the clothes I wear, to name a few. I’m finding it easier said than done, but when Laura Ashley contacted me about their new Archive Collection I knew this was the perfect opportunity to try something a little different; the midi skirt. I’m usually not one for skirts and am fairly content in skinny jeans, but with a couple of birthdays and baby showers coming up in Spring I thought this would be the perfect time to broaden my sartorial horizons.
I love the black floral pattern of this skirt, making it perfect for this time of year when we’re not quite in to warm weather and pastel hues. Teamed with a clashing striped jumper, this really brings the look up to date. I’m also looking forward to pairing it with a tucked-in denim shirt as the weather becomes warmed and jumpers don’t seem such a necessity! A beautiful fit, gorgeous fabric and classic pattern – this skirt will no doubt come out season after season, year after year.
