The gorgeous Rachel from Rachel The Hat is here to help you find your perfect outfit for autumn with some of our key staples, so let’s see what pieces will be in her wardrobe this season.
When the cold months roll in I find myself reaching for dresses more and more. With crisp leaves and dark nights also comes the chunky knitwear, long sleeved dresses and lovely thick tights. There’s something about wearing a lovely dress that just makes you feel instantly put together and look like you really have made an effort. It’s instant gratification in one piece.
The Dress
The colour palette for this dress is seasonal with its grey undertone and orange and green florals, to me, it is autumn personified.
Whether it be the school run, a lunch date or a country walk, a gorgeous day dress like this beautiful autumnal number will be an asset to your autumn wardrobe. The dress has the most comfortable drop waist style so it floats and skims the curves elegantly in a gorgeous relaxed way. The length is below the knee making this the perfect little day dress. So easy, so cosy and so enjoyable to wear.
For this occasion, I have worn it with some grey tights and ankle boots, but it will work well with a light roll neck knit layered underneath and some knee-high flat boots just as well. Or pair with some heeled ankle boots and sheer tights for a more dresses up look.
The Coat
For my afternoon out I popped on this beautiful camel coloured duffle coat, which is reported as being the comeback coat of the season. In my eyes the duffle coat is never out of fashion, it is a classic item that will last you years and years. If fashion is your thing then you’ll be pleased to know that it is indeed the coat of the season.
In its perfect neutral colourway, this camel beauty works with just about anything. What I love is not only is it warm but it also has the hood which protects from showers but yet still means you look stylish in your stunning coat. Lets face it autumn inevitably means showers.
Looking good and feeling good in the rain can definitely make the season a lot easier and much more fun, especially in this gorgeous outfit!
