A carpet can change the feel to any room in your home so we have got the experts here to tell us all about what carpet is best for you with their new stunning range!
Brintons have been making luxury carpets for over 230 years and we are known for unparalleled quality and stunning design. Our Laura Ashley carpet collection celebrates the perfect mix of our brand’s histories and modern outlook.
Why Carpet?
Carpets are suited to rooms where you spend a lot of time such as a bedroom or living room, where relaxing is key to creating a happy home. Exceptionally hard-wearing and versatile with a timeless aesthetic they make the perfect addition to any interior and as the nights draw in. Carpet is perfect to create a cosy living space. The texture of wool underfoot coupled with a warm colour or welcoming pattern makes it a great way to build a comfortable and inviting décor scheme.
Back in the 50s, Brintons invented the 80/20 blend which combines 80% wool with 20% nylon for the perfect combination of softness and durability. We still use this blend today because it has all the beauty of wool, in a longer-lasting form. Not only is wool on trend right now but it comes with the added bonus that it is a fantastic sustainable choice for flooring. It insulates your home, is easily recyclable and biodegradable, plus shearing sheep is essential for their welfare.
Patterns or Plain?
Patterns are perfect for high-traffic areas like hallways and staircases, where dust and dirt are repeatedly trodden into the carpet. We use an Axminster construction for our patterned carpets as this creates superior definition and creates a longer-lasting carpet. You can make a design statement whilst being both practical and welcoming.
A timeless yet stylish approach, a plain carpet brings a sense of calm and functionality and is a natural companion to any interior; from traditional country cottage to modern city apartment.
We’ve introduced two new colours this season to the palette – Steel and Dark Dove Grey to help you create a contemporary Laura Ashley look throughout your home. Co-ordination is simple as many of the colours in the carpet collection are used in Laura Ashley fabrics and wallpapers too. This will make it easycreating a harmonious flow from one room to the next.
If you visit Brinton’s website, you can see the full stocked product range, get interiors inspiration and advice, plus ‘view in a room’ to show what a larger piece of carpet looks like on the floor. You can also request swatches of carpets to be delivered to your door in order to get a better idea of what they will look like in their home.
